Grief Manifested.
I came down with a stomach bug that has been going around for a while. It hit hard, and though the fever lasted less than a day (thank you oils!), the nausea and extreme exhaustion lingered all week. I felt useless and, full transparency, a bit down on myself because in the midst of planning events and coaching others through their own health challenges, I had been struck hard. Side note: No one is immune to getting sick. But the story I told myself was full of "Get your stuf

I Hate Crossfit
I hate CrossFit this year! I haven’t been saying much about The CrossFit Open this year. I loved the excitement of the seasons before and the spectacle of it all. This year not having a clear sense of the changes gave me something silly to complain about. The truth is I feel like I suck, and this year not being able to focus on the elites has forced me to focus on myself. This year, technically, I’m sicker (tumor’s in my lungs) and working out is more of a real struggle. Howe

What I Learned in Class Today...
Have you seen those people that see a pit bull and instantly take off in the other direction? Sometimes at a full sprint? Yeah, I used to be one of them. The Universe has a fun way of pushing me to face my fears. Partly because I asked for guidance and help to become more closely aligned with what God put me here for, but whatever. My dog is secretly an angel.
Have you ever looked into a dog’s eyes and felt like, dang… it’s almost like you’re a person your eyes are so soulful? If you answered no, you’ve never looked into the eyes of a labradoodle.
