Siberian Fir - Let it go, sis

This morning I woke up in a funk. My heart felt heavy and the "Monday To Do List" was simultaneously weighing on me and sending me running around the kitchen while I prepped breakfast - for the dogs (no not even my own) and firing off emails before the clock even struck 8am.

Ugh.

What happened to my zen morning routine and stuff? Yeah... we can talk about that in another post.

As I was brushing my teeth I glanced over at the box of essential oils on my counter and I was drawn to the bottle of Siberian Fir. I like to trust my intuition on these things, so I grabbed it and ran my fingers over the rest to see what other oils I should add with it to my diffuser. Lime and Douglas fir popped up, so I grabbed them, too.

Wouldn't you know, Siberian Fir is everything I need right now. Apparently these were the trees in the background while Elsa spun around singing her iconic song.

We all know (if you didn't, now you do - you're welcome) that essential oils have a ton of benefits. Being a fir/tree oil, Siberian Fir is amazing for pain (joint/muscle/bone). Not everyone knows that every essential oil also has emotional benefits! I asked google (yes, I did). It sent me to Tara Wagner's page xotara.us and she shared some things that deeply resonated about Siberian Fir. Click here>> to see her full post.

Here's what stuck out to me: Siberian Fir can help us let go of past stuff (including disappointments) and move forward consciously.

She even shared some affirmations! Yessss, Tara, yessss!

"Even though I feel frustrated with myself sometimes, I honor and respect my journey to get to where I am." and "It’s time to let go of the past, or how I thought things would be. I’m ready to create a new future."

Sometimes the interwebs slaps.

(Imma go tiktok my niece and ask if I used that right... bc probably not, but you get me.)

I "shoulded" on myself a lot this weekend. And although I'm incredibly grateful for all of the blessings that I have, this is still a really tough time - for a lot of us. So, supporting myself with oils, affirmations, interbwebs wisdom, and sharing are all good healthy things.

Have you tried Siberian Fir? What do you reach for when you're seeking help letting go of the things you don't need?
